RE: Cruiser 5ver

I do own the 2007 CF31QB. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!!! So far no problems other than minor shake down issues common with ALL brands. If someone tells you that they have not had one single issue, they are wrong. They might not remember the blown fuse, squeaky door, or screen that popped out because it was a minor shake down issue that we all experience. We have not had any major problems, everything that has happened I could have fixed myself. Another plus is the warranty, best in the business!!! If you know that you are making an excellent product then stand behind it for five years, if not pawn it off on someone and only cover it for a year. Doug

RE: Looking for a fiver

I can't answer your question about the carpet, but I can attest to the quality of the Cruiser. We have a 2007 CF31QB and absouletly love it. I know that I am biased because I own one, but I have only experienced minor problems that my dealer has promptly taken care of. Good luck with your search, and happy camping!! Doug

RE: Thinking of a chip for my 99 F250

My truck is an '01 F250 with the 7.3. I have the Bully Dog chip you are talking about, 4" exhaust turbo back, DIY intake, gauges, exhaust brake, wicked wheel for the turbo, and an upgraded turbo housing. I tow a 2007 Crossroads Cruiser 39' fifthwheel and get 14 mpg average. That is hand figured (I don't have the computer in mine). When I'm not towing I get 22 combined highway/town driving. I also have a very light foot. If you get this chip you will not get a milage improvement until you learn how to drive with it. The chip will not only add fuel, it will adjust the timing and injector pulses also. Everything together will net mpg gains, but just one upgrade will only make minor improvements. As mentioned above, you will hurt your truck with a chip and no other upgrades, ie. gauges, exhaust, intake etc. Doug

RE: towing with a SRW or A DRW

An expedition is a 1/2 ton chassis, an excursion is a 3/4 ton. Try running with some water in your fresh water tank if it is in front of the trailer axles. This will put some weight on the tongue and help with sway and road bounce.

RE: "Three" room 5th wheels?

We have a Crossroads CF31QB. We bought it last year, new 2007, and LOVE it. It is awesome having the bunks over the pin and the residential sized queen bed on a slide in the back. Just an idea, check it out. www.crossroadsrv.com Doug

RE: Looking for a good dealer

I know that it's kind of a stretch for you from there, but I have found a dealer that matches your requirements!!! It's Lee's Country RV in Muncie Indiana. I bought a Crossroads Cruiser CF31QB (which I am VERY happy with)there this spring. Since then I've had a few minor issues to get taken care of and when I called they asked me when I wanted to come in. I made my appointment and asked how long they would have it and they said that if I had time they would just fix everything while I was there. That is exactly what happened. While I was there they gave me snacks and drinks for free, they also have a game room with ping pong and badmitton set up with a big screen TV and movies to watch. Excellent sales and service!!!! RE: gooseneck ball hitch for open bed

As stated above by Ray,IN many 5er frame manufacturers will void your warranty if you use the adapter for a gooseneck. I went through this same delima when I bought our 5er. I already had a gooseneck in my truck and had many salesmen swear to me that it was fine to use the adapter, but I was told by some that it wasn't so I did my homework myself and read all the warranty info and called Lippert myself to find out. I was told by Lippert and Crossroads the the adapter would void the warranty on the frame and by association many of the other warranties on the 5er. For some with buying a used 5er or one with only a 1 year warranty this may not be an issue but with Crossroads (Cruiser) having a 7 year warranty it was a huge issue for me. I would just suggest doing your homework on your own particular brand and FRAME manufacturer. Doug
